It wouldn't be all that hard. You use my ATmega328P code to read the image, and then find FAT32 filesystem code for the chip and basically just save pixels to a file. Write software on the PC to read the pixels and convert to a jpeg or whatever.Mike Shimniokhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17602015624941667574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5983110881018172452.post-67907192996722895402014-05-05T03:23:23.119-06:002014-05-05T03:23:23.119-06:00So, I was wondering, is there a step by step guide...So, I was wondering, is there a step by step guide to making a digital camera with a Game Boy Camera camera? It'd be a fun kind of digital lomography to use a camera like that. The GBCam puts out 15K of pixels; the Arduino doesn't have room to store a whole frame and it's transferring over serial which is insanely slow. This software is for diagnostic purposes not to act as a web cam. For that, you'd need a much faster processor with at least 15K SRAM, a 500kSPS ADC and, ideally, USB device capability. If you get a chance to put that together let me know :)Mike Shimniokhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17602015624941667574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5983110881018172452.post-36542281807768230252012-02-11T23:16:54.076-07:002012-02-11T23:16:54.076-07:00I had to install http://rxtx.qbang.org/wiki/index....I had to install http://rxtx.qbang.org/wiki/index.php/Download - worked fine for me after that. I'd've thought it would have buffered the data otherwise the exposure time would be useless.<br /><br />Also I don't know what you mean by the value in the V register must be 7 to get a 1.0V offset. As far as I can tell, the V register is the reference voltage register and a value of 7 would be 3.5V. Did you mean the O register?Blakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06588722840344966542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5983110881018172452.post-4193794974970539872011-03-29T01:42:05.841-06:002011-03-29T01:42:05.841-06:00Rats. The big Sparkfun AVC is on April 23, so once I'm done with that I should have time to look into this.<br /><br />In the meantime, if you check out the source and compile under NetBeans IDE, it 'should' work...Mike Shimniokhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17602015624941667574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5983110881018172452.post-17969631626911382612011-03-27T04:34:17.345-06:002011-03-27T04:34:17.345-06:00ok, slightly different error with that.
